Are you trying to brighten the display? What kind of files are you viewing?

If the current theme being used in Theater View is too dark try switching to a different theme until you find one that satisfies your requirements

Theater view gets dark in one minute like caused by energy saving system. This does not depend of the themes shown. I would prefer reading artist and title from 4 m distance. But the characters are limited to 12. In Media Center 25 no such problems occured.

You can disable the fade out in theater view settings
Settings -> Theater View -> Behavior -> Fade out after inactivity to prevent burn-in

Font Size cannot be configured in Theater View, as it uses a lot of different sizes for different elements.
Instead, you can configure the "Size" parameter, which influences the size of all Theater View elements.

You can also change font size inside the element with <font size="xx"><//font>. That is not not convenient in every case as you'll loose linking ability there
