Problems importing .mpg files
« on: February 24, 2003, 02:17:43 am »

Hi,

I've just rebuilt my PC to try and resolve the Media Server problems I'm experiencing.

Although I haven't tried Media Server on this newly built PC yet (I shall do that in a minute) I have found problems with re-importing my .mpg video files.

When I try and import them I get an error that it cannot load plug-in.  It seems like it is going to the internet but then displays this error.

The weird thing is that after getting this error it still does import the videos - but they appear under the Audio section and not under the Video section.

If I try the same thing under WMP it works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Mark

What version of 9.0 do you have?  9.0.119 is on this board.  You might try it.  The problem could be a result of the confusion caused when WMP9 appeared.  MC didn't support it until recently.

Hi Jim,

I'm using version 119 and have the problem.

Thanks,
