Hi
I had some problems with SlideShow so I uninstall/re-install it.
But I can't remember how to get it back.
I have my mail with my license code saved.
Can anyone give me a helping had so I can watch my grandchildren again, please?

If you have MC, just select what you want to view and press play or hit enter. You may have to switch to playing now. There are instructions here for slideshow if you follow the link in one of the top threads.

Well my problem is that I can't activate SlideShow and right clicking don't give me "access to options for slideshow playback. Time interval, transition effects, etc." There is now SlideShow.

When I try to install the SlideShow.dll through the Plug In Manager I get Information: "Unsupported plugin type. The plugin can not be installed".

Don't use slideshow. Just select the images and press play. Then go to playing now. There is a slide show built in to MC.

Whoa, I think you two are on a different page ...

Im having the same issue .. we're talking about SLIDESHOW from J River .. costs 9.95$ ... Its a plugin that shows images from the ARTIST of the music you are listening to ..

We are NOT talking about the slideshow capability for showing Images from our library .. this is related to the MUSIC files ..

and Im having the EXACT SAME ISSUES (Look at the first comment in the 119 thread) ..

I haven't checked, but slideshow was a plug-in for version 8 and it may not work with version 9.

There is a slideshow built in to V9.

Well, I've noticed that if I have music playing in the Playing Now, there's a new "show" at the top of the right-click menu while an image is selected (say in Media Library or a Playlist. Selecting it starts showing all the images in the tree (full screen).

The "show" only appears to present itself when music is playing in the Playing Now.

This is a great feature for doing a slideshow to whatever music fits the mood.

Again, one more step towards being *THE* multimedia applicaction - unlike so many others that are just *a* multimedia app. In my opinion, Microsoft figured out that integrated is great - which is a selling point of MCE. But I can think of nothing MCE does that MC doesn't. And there is now plenty that MC does that MCE doesn't.

JimH: Is the proper abbreviation of "Media Center" JMC for JRiver Media Center or is MC the way to go?

Hi JimH,

Back from the party so you have to accept some misstakes.

What we are talking about is this. Forget about SlideShow.

Focus on Image.

Start playing Images. And go back playing audio files. Which means that you just skip SlideShow.

Don't think about the 10$.

You get what you want. A SlideShow including all your Images.

The best way to combine music and images is to create a mixed playlist. Just drag and drop both into a single playlist. Then play the playlist.

You may have to select "Playing Now". I have MC set to jump to full screen if there is a display, so as soon as I press play, it goes to full screen slideshow.

There is a thread with instructions on this. I think it's fairly up-to-date.

well If i Start music.

In playing now i see no "Show" when using right click when in the visual window.

i take it, it only shows images on your system and not like before where it gets images from the internet?

I'm surprised that you didn't know Slide Show was built into MC. I have a few pictures that I use for playback with music. Mostly pictures of sawhorses. Fine ones at that.

Well I use http://www.photodex.com/news/price_pro.html pro for slide shows of pictures. It's not cheep but I renew my license every year for the last 7-8 years

another good program i use is http://www.newsbin.com a auto newsgroup program. I have been using that for maybe 7 years.

Thanks. It's mine. I built it and its pal a couple weeks ago. I'm thinking about building a cabin in Nebraska. Building sawhorses is a warmup.

And for once not joking at all.
I do not care about the $10 i spent.

But SlideShow was working with MC9 for many builts and now not anymore.

I just do not care about the built in slideshow in MC ,IT DOES NOT GO ONLINE.

Do i need to reverse to MJ8 to have it working?

Again ,really it is not a matter to have pay for it- $10 few months ago look like few centurys ago- but i LOVE this plug-in.

Do you have any plan to make it a MC plugin as well?

It was working few builts ago.
Now do you think we are so many with this plugin?
Not a very important thing for JRiver right now , maybe later....
Or they may made a work-around for the ones with this plugin.
Really i love it and think i will reverse to MJ8 for the time being.

Could the problem has sported itself when they switched to Unicode ? The plugin shows up (if you previously installed it in an arlieer build ... it will not show up on new installs) ... but the option tags are just windows blocks ... no font/text ...

Doesnt sound like a tough fix ... Come on ... we like it .. help us out
