Hang with 31.0.10
« on: June 01, 2023, 06:19:05 am »

Greatday Matt, MC team,

Noticing on 31.0.10 some cases of serious lagging with a freeze at the end.
Please find the log attached.
I did checked Task Manager during the lagging and shows me that MC31 is using 12MB of memory and 98% of an i9-9900 CPU.
As far i noticed anything else heavy happening onto the machine, network or NAS.
Just playing an audio file. After killing and restarting MC all back to normal, playing the same file.

Defender completely configured as required by the post available here.
Also nothing visible in Windows Task Manager about Defender or any other consuming process.

Anything noticeable from the log ?

Thanks for your feedback.

Maybe analysis or cover art lookup or ...?

In MC, under Services & Plug-ins, take a look at Reporter.

The log shows a lot of network errors.  Maybe the network was just unavailable.

Many thanks Jim for the feedback,

I couldn't check MC's reporter at the time, as the program froze.
As i wasn't importing anything today, cover art or analysis wasn't the case anyway.

Did checked the logs of the NAS aswell, nothing inside.
Same as the Meraki Dashboard, both the switch as the client didn't suffered of any bandwith loss or longer pings in the timeframe.

What's bugging me is the extreme high usage of resources, 98% of this CPU would be a rather massive process. As using 12MB of RAM aswell.

Anyway I'll keep an eye onto this and next time something shows up I'll make sure to post or add a new log.

Thanks.
