JRiver Media Center 30 v96 has stopped functioning
Matt:
You posted a screenshot showing 5.0 playback failing. That means it needs to be converted. You can choose no upmixing or downmixing if you prefer, but the channel count is not supported by your hardware.
tbng:
That may be what the message means, but I have been playing 5.0 and 4.0 recordings via the Trinnov Altitude since I bought it four years ago until, it seems, I installed JRiver version 30. Is there for JRiver to dummy a .1 signal containing no musical information?
Matt:
Pick 5.1 as the output format with no upmixing or downmixing.
tbng:
This does not work. I still cannot play anything either without having JRiver dumb down the file characteristics or make manual setting changes, something I have never had to do in the four years I have been using JRiver connected to the Trinnov Altitude 16. Settings that worked last night will not work the next day, which makes no sense. I tried downloading v.31, but that has the same issues as v.30.
JimH:
Try another device.
