JRiver not releasing focus on external DAC/AMP
« on: November 12, 2023, 12:30:59 am »

Hi!  I'm using JRiver 28 (and maybe that's the issue?  Do I need to upgrade?).

I recently added a FIIO K7 DAC/AMP, connected via USB, outputting to a pair of Ruark MK1 MK2 speakers.

I can play a game, with sound, or watch Netflix on Chrome or Edge - no problem switching between them.  BUT, if I listen to music on JRiver and then switch over to an other sound source, JRiver seems to not release focus to the other sound source.

Is there a setting somewhere I may need to address?

Audio settings for Exclusive Mode.   You could read on the wiki or do a Google search.

Also don't pause audio in Media Center, stop it when done playing so it releases the device.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.
