full stop crash when inserting a CD/duplicates
« on: February 11, 2003, 07:26:08 am »

I have (MC has) some problems (maybe related) when I insert a CD.

1) most of the time (70%), MC will crash as it winds up the process of looking up the CD on YADB.  If I restart MC with the disc already inserted this problem does not occur -- only when MC sees a newly inserted disc.

2) I'm getting duplicate entries in Playing Now from CDs.  That is, two instances of each song: Song A, Song A, Song B, Song B, Song C, Song C, etc.  I get around this by wiping out the playing now list and double-clicking the first file on the CD.

I am having the same problem.

I have found that if I don't have the CD selected for viewing when I insert it, I don't have a problem. So, before inserting a disk I select the Media Library, then switch to viewing the CD after it has had time to spin up.
