Media Server on test machine "A" running MediaJukebox 8.0.395 works fine to another version 8 but Media Server on test machine "B" running MediaCenter 9.0.109 (or 108 or 107) does not run (with another version 9, of course).

I have not tried the server in a while, is something new that I am not doing? I have tried both auto-connect as well as creating a manual entry in Library Manager, neither is happy and terminates with a "cannot connect message". Thanks.

I tried your address and MC seemed to be trying to connect but I get no status on the completion bar and utilimately an error message window pops up with "unable to connect to server, request timed out." I will keep looking, thanks.

Can connect to the host through the server, but can't connect to King's. Am using the address m01p://[IP address:port]. Same result either with Sygate running or closed out. Also same result, if I load his library through Library Manager or use the short-cut on the File drop-down. Aborts immediately, w/o going through anya ttempt to d/l. Double-checked the address, and it was as King stated it.

Variation on that - I've also been unable to get remote access to my home library since 105 or 106. In that case, I downloaded 107 on top of 106, then uninstalled it through Control Panel>Add or Remove (that build was buggy) and reinstalled 106. Since then, have not been able to gain access. Have run same build of MC at both ends, nothing different in office configuration.

I have the same problem. It connects but it cannot retrieve the media library (time-out or it hangs - cancel buttom has no effect).

I'm running 110.  I can't connect to your server.  I can connect to my server on the same PC.  Can you?

When you set up an entry in Library Manager, make sure you choose the Media Server option.

You should not need to enter the m01p:// anymore.  Just host.domain.com:port or ip:port .

Versions must be the same on both machines.  Especially now.

I can see the problem.  If I try to connect from another PC by adding an entry in Library Manager, it fails.  But if I let it search from Library Manager, it finds it.

I suppose it's something we've broken when we changed the way we add new entries in Library Manager.

Well I tried to let it auto search also, no joy

What happens is the download lib box comes up and sets there no matter how I try IP or Find

Sometimes it times out sometimes it just looks back into my green eyes Hypnotic like. Kind of like it is trying to talk to me. If I put my ear up to the modem speaker I think I can hear words.
