Crash
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:54:51 pm »

Hi, I have been using MC since MC14 I think and have noticed that it seems to be getting unstable for me lately. I cant pin down exact scenarios but the following is a good example and I was able to catch the full dump.

MC was playing an audio track normally. It finished one and had started the next one. It was probably 30 secs in when the audio stuttered and MC just disappeared. I restarted and got the crash dump.
I had to remove lots of lines from the Previous log file to make the attachment fit, hopefully I left enough at the end to get an idea of what was happening

Configure Windows Defender.  Don't use any other antivirus.

@JimH already done.

If you look in the previous log, the line that caused the issue is:
68475603: 22948: General: TopLevelExceptionFilter: Unhandled exception -- program crashing

that isn't an Anti-Virus issue, that is a program issue

This is the last file:
68463489: 13132: Import: JRAnalyzer::AddFile: Filename: \\packrat\media\music\Belle and Sebastian\Dear Catastrophe Waitress\04 - Piazza, New York Catcher.m4a

Turn off analysis to see if it's related.  Rename that file to x.tmp so MC ignores it.
