Can't run MC 32.0.44, keeps crashing
andromaya:
Any new ideas? I've tried uninstalling MC 28, deleting my antivirus, allowing the program through Firewall, running it without an internet connection...
One thing I did notice was that there isn't a MC folder in the Application Support, even after reinstalling.
So I figured that maybe the folder with user files was stored somewhere else to begin with.
Well, after deleting every J River and Media Center folder on the Macintosh HD, and subsequently reinstalling MC 32... it still crashes on boot.
And note that I do have a license, which is what makes it more annoying because I just bought it.
Suggestions?

bob:
Pay special attention to the section on permissions. Your crash dumps are very odd. They don't seem to show the program running at all.
Note the files are not under /Library/Application Support they are under the USERS Application Support folder in the USERS Library folder. Don't delete the Media Center 28 one or you lose all of your data.

Again, the permissions were the first thing I checked. MC 32 has all permissions indicated on the forum post mentioned.
And yes, the program crashes before it can properly start.
About the Application Support map: I found it in Users/ Shared/ Library. But there is no Media Center 32 folder in there. I artificially created one (Library/ J River/ Media Center 32) but that hasn’t solved anything.
There isn’t anything else that comes to mind, except for the fact that MC 28 still works. Thanks.
