Trouble Installing
« on: February 04, 2003, 08:41:53 pm »

Hi, the following modules would not install in W98 (org ver with latest updates from MSoft).

dsp_MJMain.dll
in_cda.dll

I tried manually copying dsp_MJMain.dll from \windows\temp to \windows but that only corrupted the installation (GPF errors).  Had to uninstall v9, even after removing the dll from \windows.

Effect of loss of these two modules was no play from the CD device.   The contents of a CD could be read, but any attempt to play a selection was ignored by the program.  In one instance, the Windows media player was triggered, and started with the first song on the CD.

I don't know but try cleaning your temp directories.

Empty trash.  Check disk space.

Also, in IE, do Tools/Internet Options/Temporary Internet Files/Delete files.  It can take a few minutes.

Please report the version you are using.

System Info:

IE Version: 6.0.2600.0000
Windows 98 4.10.1998

System Intel Pentium 166   64MB Ram

CD player operates correctly in v8  FWIW.   Note, however that on this system, using v.8, a ~750ms audio cutout occurs when selecting either a CD or a HD image within the first second or so into the play.  This does not occur in v.9.  :-)
