High Res playing back at extremely slow rate
« on: January 25, 2025, 02:37:21 pm »

MC output via ASIO to ESI Juli@ sound card outputting PCM over coax. DAC is a Thetadigital Casablanca.

When trying to play high res files, eg 96kHz, the output is in slow motion. (Ripped redbook audio plays completely fine.)

Audio path says 2 channel 96kHz 32 bit. Juli@ sound card shows it is receiving 96kHz. But the level bars also indicate it is receiving a greatly slowed down audio signal. (The meters move slowly.)

I feel like I have encountered this in the distant past and got it fixed but I've had to rebuild my system and don't recall details.  I'm lost as to the solution. Ideas? (These tracks played fine on the same equipment prior to the rebuild.)

Power cycle everything.

It may be a driver problem.
