No sound unless I cycle DAC's inputs [Solved]

Awesome Donkey:
Have you tried either changing USB cables or plugging the DAC into a different USB port on the PC, preferably one that's on a different USB controller if possible?

I believe I may have mostly solved the problem. I connected my USB cable to a different port and with the default settings, only 48 kHz is selected in the DAC's properties in Windows. On the previous USB port, I selected all of the frequencies up to 192 kHz since that's what the McIntosh can handle. Somehow, JRiver is able to go past 48 kHz if the files I play go higher.

I did get the same issue as before one time after playing a game and then starting some music in JRiver but I haven't been able to recreate it.

JimH:
The DAC may not reliably support all bitrates that it claims.
