I have done this before, but it has been years and a few windows reinstalls ago

I have JRiver on my main pc Win 10 where all my music drives are and I have JRiver on my tablet

What I want to do and have done years ago is to use my tablet with JRiver  in another room to play music (connected dac amp) from the main PC where another JRiver is to my tablet-dac amp

After hours I am close, but instead of the music playing to my tablet-dac-amp from the main JRiver PC I am controlling the main PC JRiver and playing the music through the main PC/home theatre

If I was not so tired this reverse scenario may be amusing,but I was shocked to hear music blasting in the other room and not into my ear buds

How do i rectify this?

PS At one point it did play a movie to my tablet with audio,but I cannot repeat that now

You need to click on the Renderer you want to play to in the upper section of Playing Now.

By accident I may have understood,but my method was different

What I did was close JRiver on my tablet and launched it again and played a media music file from my tablet. Then I was able to choose my audio device once I was not accessing a connection to server(Odd I know) I also cleared playing now on server PC JRiver

Now I can play to my tablet and dac amp
