Help Requested MC 32 Won't Load Correctly
LennyM:
Can anyone please tell me what's going on? Why can I reach every other site in the world, but not jriver.com? And why does that prevent MC 32 from loading correctly?

JRiver moved some servers to a different provider, causing DNS issues. It should solve itself after some time if you're still seeing problems.
MC will contact JRiver's servers at startup by default - you can disable this behavior with several settings in Options:
- default startup location for MC is a web page from JRiver, you can change it to "last location" instead
- asks server if there's a new version available
- anti-piracy check may also occur, probably
- playing something can trigger download of missing CODECs, covers, lyrics, subtitles, etc.
- Spotlight feature for info about an album/band
- etc. Fully offline apps are mostly extinct, specially if you want to benefit from all features.

We think it's working as expected now.
This problem could be something else. If JRiver doesn't run at all, it's probably antivirus.
Awesome Donkey:
Have you tried switching DNS providers (and clearing the DNS cache after switching)? Very likely your ISP's DNS is slow at updating, so these kind of issues happen.

@Awesome Donkey was right all along. Changed to Google DNS and all is well. The only advice that mattered.
Now to do on two other computers.
