Can Media Center 33 run on small tablets?
« on: April 10, 2025, 03:22:37 pm »

Can Media Center 33 run on small Android tablets such as the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab A7 or the Lenovo Tab M9?

If not, what JRiver software would I use to control my home music system running on Media Center 33 with a tablet?

Thanks.

JRiver is using DLNA across the network, so as mentioned JRemote, or Gizmo will controll playback to and end point.

Equally you can pull tracks from the server rather than pushing them, using any DLNA capable system My Yamaha amplify (10+ Years old) can look up tracks and play them from JRiver server, and display album art - although a bit clunky. Similarly if you have a modern DLNA capable equipment like the Wiim Ultra / Wiim Pro Plus it can search very quickly and play tracks from JRiver server using the Wiim app on android. So it is not hard to accumulate serveral DLNA capable device that can do this these days.
