33.0.71 freezing
« on: April 16, 2025, 10:22:11 am »

Hello everyone, I have been using Mediacenter for many years now to play my mostly uncompressed files.
Since the last system update, Mediacenter keeps freezing. Sometimes after just 5 minutes, sometimes after half a day. I have the latest operating system and the latest version of Media Centre and am running an RMA BabyFace on a Mac mini. I have already switched off the screen saver and sleep mode. Does anyone have any ideas? Incidentally, the music is also on the system disc, so nothing external.

Best regards,
Jörg

Yes, I have set the auto-update, so I have always the latest version.
I'm a poor user who just want to hear his audio-files... not more, not less.
I always buy the upgrades to be up to date. Is it really too much to ask for music playback software that simply plays the music and doesn't freeze in impossible situations?

Please confirm you have build 72, not just "latest".

Read the sticky threads on this board.  Installing and Network.

Yes, I have Build .72, and yes it's running for some more time but still it's freezing after a while. I don't know what's meant with " sticky threads" and again I'm not using network for the files. Everything is on the built-in-HD.
Please is there any support where I can send the crash file?
I've already bought Mediacenter 34 (not because I need to have the latest features, but to be "sure" it's running reliable on my lates operating system) and I'm still on 33, so I hope the purchase wasn't in vain. Because I can't live with this situation for much longer. The music is playing in my business premises and I don't have time to have to force the software to stop and restart again and again....
Thanks for understanding!

Did you read and follow the posts at the top of this board?

It's not likely to be a problem with MC.
