I purchased and installed JRiver for Android on my Samsung A5. It "works", ie. plays lossless flac when I can find what I want to hear, but its library interface is nearly useless for me. I have a large library, which I've mostly copied to a 1 TB sd card in the phone. Local library on phone is copy of server music, about 600 GB of mostly classical music.However I have too many files to find the music I want to hear using the default library display for my music  on that card. Therefore, I loaded the MC server on my Mac hoping it might use the folder organization I use for my main library, but that is no different. Can someone explain, or point me to instructions for how to display my music library on JRiver for Android that is organized like it is on my Server? The default library display with 7 folders is hard and unfamiliar way for me to use to navigate my library. I CAN use already created playlists, but …have to make a lot.

Assuming you mean JRiver for Android.

More details would help.  How are you trying to play?  Can you open Audio?

Thanks for links. I'll look at them tomorrow. In the meantime I made corrections in my initial post that also might clarify some things. My initial post was hasty and sloppy, I apologize for that.

What I am doing is playing music from my library, As I said, that does work! Problem is practical, navigating my library to choose music to play. The default interface is not very useful to me. I use a folder structure on my server that does work for me. What I am asking is, how can I recreate that on JRiver for Android?

More details would help.  How are you trying to play?  Can you open Audio?

I would assume because it is (was?) meant for local media playback from a SD card so JRiver for Android was used originally. But if you're now trying to load from a MC library server, JRemote3 would be the way to go, yeah.

No.  JRemote3 isn't capable of playing local files.   JRiver for Android is capable.

I missed that you are using local storage, in that case yes you'll need MC for Android.

This is correct.

I corrected my answer above.  Use JRiver for Android.  It also supports Android Auto.  JRemote3 doesn't
