YADB questions
« on: January 06, 2003, 10:52:02 am »

Firstly, why when looking for a replacement for CDDB, was a new database (yadb) decided upon instead of using freedb?

2. Is there a method for correcting entries in yadb?

3. How about including album art in the database.

4. And on that same note, how can we link album art which has been located on the internet to a CD - and is it possible to have MJ find album art automaticaly?

;)

It's a long story.   You could try a search here for details, but it involves quality, reliability, and price.

You can join the cleanup crew by writing gateley @ jriver.com.  See the www.yadb.com stats page to see what they do.

3. How about including album art in the database.

It's copyrighted.

You might try reading some of the other threads here or checking Help in MJ.  Right click on a file and explore the options available.  Search for cover art is one.
