iPod plugin bug?
« on: December 17, 2002, 01:03:41 am »

Hey y'all... I hope this is the right place to lay in this topic...

I'm running the .88 ver of MC9 (and I'm loving the muscle in it... I'm never going back to MMJB)... and I've got the latest iPod plugin, and I had a strange bug in regard to syncing.  I was getting a strange discrepency in my file counts, and discovered thru the properties window, that an entire album was ripped thru WMP (no idea how I did THAT!), and that the audio was WMA (obviously).  None of those tracks were imported.  I posted on the ipodlounge site, and Adam (ashawley) mentioned that MC was supposed to autoconvert WMA into iPodspeak... I never got that file to process (oh, and it wasn't liquid audio or a "protected" disc... not to my knowledge anyhow).

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks again,

ben

Ben,

MC can convert the files but it does not happen automatically and it currently won't happen on synching. To convert, upload the files directly (by dragging the files onto iPod or by right-clicking and selecting "Send-to") and then select "Options" and select the appropriate conversion.

That should do the trick.
