I installed mj8 v 8.0.393 on 12/30/02 with the mistaken belief that the program still included the DVD and TV tuner functionality that was part of earlier versions of mj8.  I have earlier downloads of mj8 on my computer.  Can I uninstall 393 and install the earlier version 8 (using the key and reg code I just purchased) to obtain the DVD and TV functions.  Thanks.

it will only allow one.

If you install the other in another dir then the first install will not work.

Please Note: Support for TV and DVD playback has been removed from this build.
TV and DVD are now only part of Media Center.

Thank you for your response.  I understand the limitations of 393.  The question is, can I uninstall 393, install an earlier version of mj8 and obtain the additional functionality that used to be a part of the program.

if you uninstall 9.0.393 and install the older version if you had a registration code for the olderversion yes.

But if you bought the key just now, it may not work with older versions of MJ8.

The MC9 key worked with MJ8 for some time but on Dec 3rd it stoped working With MJ8.

try it see what happens. (i don't think it will)
