audio vs images

is it possible to treat the audio and image libraries differently?  for example can we have the audio library display artist and album fields but images display only name?  it seems that in general there should be separate option panes for audio, video and images.  sorry if this has been discussed before, but this is my first time using version 9 and specific handling of different media types seems integral to the concept of a media center.

Something like that is likely before release.  Did you find the button that toggles the view?

i see that now.  it toggles between text and album art.  is there a way to customize the number and types of views?  i still think it would be useful to enable mc to smartly toggle between list formats, either by automatically leaving out fields which are blank for every file displayed or tailoring the view to the type of media.  it just doesn't make sense to display duration for an image file :)
