YADB no longer works
« on: November 26, 2003, 02:39:27 pm »

Everything was running smoothly with Media Center then I encountered the following problems.
1)  MP3 encoder no longer works.  After over 50 albums without problem the MP3 encoder would freeze when trying to rip a CD to the Hard drive.

I decided to adapt and found that the APE encoder works.

Then I updated Media Center.

2)  YADB no longer works. States failed to connect to YADB server.

I would like to be able to encode to MP3 at 160 b/rate

I would like to connect to YADB server.

Great program, but became flawed after updating

Thanks

Johnny

Update?  What version are you using?  YADB is working but was broken for ME and 98 users in a build or two a few days ago.

I am using version 9.1.308 on Windows ME.

When I go to "check for updates" the program responds "Package Installer -- Failed to read Version Info file."

Thanks

Installed version 9.1.313

YADB server now works.
I now know how to update without using Ctrl + J

Ripping to MP3 still freezes Media Center

Re-Install The Plug-In see if that helps

Reinstalled
MP3 Encoder - 2.0.58.

Same problem exists.

CD light flashes green once and then freezes.
Progress Bar does not show any activity.
Media Center freezes.
Shows-  Media Center (not responding) in Close Program

When using APE
CD light flashes green continually
Progress Bar shows activity

what settings do you have it set for?

also make sure you have a good temp folder path where it encodes the file.

other than that don't know.

I am just going to use APE encoder for now.

Since everything else now works.

Thanks
