"Media Center cannot be run under windows xp limited user accounts" is the answer I'm afraid.
I have requested that this be looked into as a possibility for version 10, but if my understanding is correct, from a coding point of view, it's a massive undertaking, requiring the program to be practically re-written from scratch. If that is correct, I don't think we can expect to see this happen in the next few days.
I'd hate to see you leave MC behind because of this. If you have a logical mind and are not afraid of the system registry, it is possible to make this work by editing the security settings on the jriver registry keys. It does work, you just need to understand that a)it's most definately not supported, and b)it's undertaken entirely at you're own risk. c)you're little cherubs will be able to make changes to your library and file tags if you use the FAT32 filesystem. If using ntfs, you can again set permissions to deny this.
See this thread...

(I hate not being able to give the answer someone
really wants)
