Making CD of Playlists
« on: December 20, 2003, 12:24:34 pm »

This is probably obvious, but I can't figure out how to do it!!

I want to make an MP3 CD,  with 5 directories, each one corresponding to one MC playlist.

I can't seem to find a 'Folder Naming' convention that will do this, and 'Folder Name' doesn't seem to be editable manually.

Any ideas much appreciated!

Mark.

I think that's one of the options you have when you burn.  Check and see if you can find it.

Jim,

I've been searching all day, but I can't seem to find it.  I see 'custom' folder naming, but there's no 'Playlist' option.  I guess the custom naming options are all based on the tags, not the playlists.

Any ideas?

There is no playlist option, but if your files were in directories by playlist, you can preserve the directory structure when you burn.  Check the options when you burn.

Jim,

Sure, I understand - but surely 'playlists' are the sort of thing you create inside MC, after importing music etc.  Hence, the directory structure is unlikely to reflect the playlists.

As there doesn't seem a genuine option for this, maybe someone has an idea for a workaround?

Thanks,
Mark.
