Linux Version
« on: December 29, 2003, 03:37:07 pm »

I've searched the site, FAQ's, everything, and although there are topics on this subject, none have been addressed...

So, I'm wondering if there will *ever* be a Linux version of Media Center?  I love this program but my main OS is Linux.  :(  And all of the Linux players can't compare with this wonder.

Any hope for us or are we relegated to Windows for our media needs?

Ahh, another person. I too would just love this to be available for Linux or someother Unix variant! :)

However, as I understand it - the software development platform for Media Center, is only Windows based - therefore any other platform is highly unlikely to be seen.

I believe the word from JRiver on this one is that they are working on porting it over.... and it won't be finished any time soon. See this post (there may be something more recent... or maybe not).

If that's changed... I stand corrected.
