Jukebox 8

after listening to music for about 2 minutes my jukebox shuts down and an explorer window opens with a broken link.  anyone know whats up?

Post your sys info from Help>System Info. Are you a registered user with the latest v8 build (393)?

First thing....download 8.0.393

Second thing....download latest ASPI from Adaptec (v4.72)

Now...
Backup license...uninstall MJ...update ASPI...reinstall MJ...restore license

That should solve your probs.

the other user on my computer is having no problems with jukebox.  any reason for that?

Wow! Huh?

Did you install MJ once for each user? In other words, you didn't just copy the link to a spot available to all users, did you? You need administrative rights for any user account that uses MJ (at least for the initial install and if you use internal ASPI). No way around that....I believe.

But you do need to update as mentioned earlier.

Yes.  Install the latest version of MJ 8 for both.  It's on our downloads page.

You'll want to install in exactly the same location for all users (of course...sorry). Main reason is each user has his own "section" of the registry, and as such all user sections need to be updated by installing for each.
