Error: DirectShow The Specified protocol...
« on: January 08, 2004, 08:07:29 pm »

... is not supported.
I get this when I try to play a web media Radio Station that is described as Windows Media and shows as file type WMV (?) in the content pane. Proper WMV files play OK and have  "DirectX player" showing in the tool bar.
MPG files from my digital camera (not acquired via MC) will often (but not always) not import until they have been played by MC. (They are just ignored)
I can't convert any files into WMA.
Could this all be connected to WMP. I have latest V9 for W98SE?
