Web Browser Plugin for MC10?
« on: January 30, 2004, 04:34:49 am »

Peter Dalinis was good enough to write a web browser plugin for v8 has anyone done the same for v10?

I emailed him asking if he might be able to adjust his plugin for v10, but, alas, to reply.  It would be pretty cool...

I am suprised that M9 or 10 don't have a better Explorer facility considering they are meant to be a complete solution?

Obviously some people would find this feature well worth having.

Well that was a bit blunt! The idea of being able to do everything from the one inteface, i.e. Media Center would be very useful IMO.

We've thought about adding to the browser capabilities, but it would add to the complexity and so we haven't done it.

If there were a lot of people who wanted it, we might add a few more controls.

If there were a lot of people who wanted it, we might add a few more controls.

There are a few music-related sites that I visit often.  I'd appreciate three features:

1) Customizable start page - to be able to start at windowsmedia.com, allmusicguide.com, wherever.
2) A web link branch that can hold as many favourite links as people may want; clicking on a link should open it within the MC10 interface.
3) I'd like it if the Arist Info toolbar button opened up allmusic within the interface, and not in a separate IE window.  Or at least give an option to toggle behavior.
