Do you have DirectX 9.0b installed? DX 9.0b has a bug. You must install a hotfix from Microsoft. Try "Non-NTSC TV Tuner Hotfix for DirectX 9.0b (KB825116)" from this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8dfd1b6d-e177-4a0e-91d0-b4310675b02b&displaylang=en

Are you saying that you installed the hotfix from Microsoft, but still have problem scanning for channels?

If that is the case, then I am not sure what the problem is. Updating your device driver may help.

Maybe I should have given you the link to the French version of the hotfix:

MC10 and TV Setup in Europe

Hi,
I just thought to write down the error messages I get when I try to watch TV in MC 10. I live in Greece (country code 30) and here's all the trouble I've been through without any successful results. PLEASE HELP!!

TV card installed: Pinnacle TV Pro with the latest WDM drivers installed.
Hotfix for 9.0b installed.
Error Messages:
1. "PlaybackEng - put_CountryCode failed. Cannot setup TVTuner. Code: 0X80070057."

2. "Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files. Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location."

-------------------------------------------------------
Advanced Properties:
PAL_B

Video preview: YUY2 (Collor space/Compression)

Video crossbar: INPUT Video Tuner In   OUTPUT Video Decoder Out

TV Tuner Properties Page:
Country 30   Tuning space (?) 0

Tuning Mode TV   Video Standards PAL_B
Input Antenna   Status Locked

While Autoscanning, I can hear very clearly the channels, but they don't get memorized by the program.

I'll really appreciate it if someone can help us. I see there are some other guys living in Europe having the same problem.

Thanks
George

George,
What version of MC are you using?

Did you try the reset option?

Hi
Thanks JimH for replying so soon! I've been trying to set up the tv tuner in MC for a very long time, since version 9.1.xxx. No luck.

Yes i install the patch.
But i've stil have the same probleme: i don't have any error message , i just don't have france in the choice for the Tv Channels, and when i choose an other country , any channel is find.
I don't thing the probleme come from th driver, because it work finewith the others applications.

Thanks for your answer
