Hi all,
After putting it off while saving $ for my new computer, I have FINALLY upgraded from MJ8 to MC9.1. I also upped from Win98 to WinXPpro. As I have been changing everything (hardware, OS, etc.) I have had two problems (so far):
1) I lost the default MC9 preset Smartlists
2) I get the following Visual C++ Debug Library error:
Program: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Media Jukebox.exe
Module: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Plugins\in_wave.dll
File:
Run_time Check Failure #3 - The variable 'dword' is being used without being defined.
(Press Retry to debug the application)
OK, I probably went about the upgrade the wrong way, but it was late...
I had earlier installed MC9 clean, then transferred all my old music/video files to the new harddrive. I put them in their "old" (as in "the way they were during MJ8") paths. Then, to attempt to keep my old info, I replaced (after backing them up) these three files:
curplaylist.jmd
mediafiles.jmd
playlistx.jmd
with my old ones from MJ8.
I DID get my old smartlists, as well as the old play stats stuff like "number of plays", but I lost the default lists. I haven't discovered yet what else I may have messed up.
I get the above error message on just a few files (it doesn't tell you which ones) when I "Import Media" and when I used "Audio Analysis" for ReplayGain/BPM, etc.
My questions:
1) How do I get the cool default smartlists back without losing my old ones?
2) What does the error message mean and how do I fix it?
3) What else did I possibly screw up?
