Playing songs from media server triggers download with DAP
« on: February 23, 2004, 06:54:21 pm »

Everytime a new song is scheduled to start playing from my MC9 media server, it triggers a download popup with Download Accelerator 7.  Unless I cancel the download prompt, the song doesn't play.  No matter what settings I change in DAP, it always wants to download the next song. I had thought that the problem stemmed from Media Center using IE for html interpretation, but I don't know now. Even when DAP isn't associated with IE or Mozilla (my main browser)  and clipboard monitoring is turned off, MC still triggers DAP. It's frustrating because Flashget doesn't do this, nor does any other DL manager, but I own DAP and prefer to use that.

I think that's a DAP problem and not related to MC.

You could find out by uninstalling DAP (as a test).

I had to remove MP3, WMA and OGG extensions from the list of filetypes it downloads. Not happy, but it's passable.
