Can JRiver just add the Slideshow plugin under Display Plugins for version 9.x and 10.x?

Well they do say they read all of the posts and this post has been around for a while now.  And it is their plug in so one must assume that they lost it and don't want to admit it!

Save it to disk (Save Link to Disk in FireFox) in a known location (ie d:\temp) then use FileManager or Explorer to run it.

I see what you mean...

I've installed it (1st link) but I don't see any changes in the MC menus or anywhere else (10.0.82). Doesn't appear to add any entry for PlugIn Manager to see.

Move over rover and let JimH take over...

OK...1st link DOES NOT register in plug-in manager, but the 2nd link does (MC10). I thought that MC had built-in SS capabilities, so this plug-in may be unnecessary. It does work...pick a folder/playlist/smartlist full of images, right click and select Play. Once in full screen mode, right click on image and look at image commands and configure image playback to configure.

I've never noticed it in Plug-ins but I've never had a problem with using it while in "playing now". You can right-click or use the arrows to activate it. It can be configured by right-clicking but you must be playing something at the time or it won't work.

got it
Thanks
Xen , the main use is to go online with this plugin.

You get pictures of the band or albums.

Not 100% accurate of cause,
You get funny things sometimes.
Like if you set it to go to www.freebeer.org

Well if stupidity is fun i mean

:)Wow! I finally bought and installed (trial version expired before I got a chance to check this plug-in out ;D) Slide Show. The option to search the web for pix is great!

The only quirk I've noticed; as it searches by 'artists', you get random stuff when MC is playing 'various' or 'multiple' artists and 'sountracks' during random play. And while playing the band 'Asia', I get maps of asia! But otherwise this thing is really cool! 8)

There are three basic option for slide show; 1. play your photos from your HD, 2. MC-SlideShow will auto search the web and show pictures in several selectable catagories including 'artist' or 'artist/album', 3. MC's own collection of photos (of staff and other MC-related pix).

The auto-search/play for album results in pictures (slides) of the artist in PlayingNow. However occaisionly, you get some odd results, such as for 'artist' Seal, it showed pictures of seals, for the band Asia, it showed maps of asia! So it's not perfect, but it's better than staring at just the album cover.

I think this is what zev meant...sometimes a little gets lost in the translation with zev. He lives in a desert in the middle east ;D Hi zev! ;)

I'm running MC 9.0, so I can't answer your question regarding MC 10 other than SS is not built into 9.0 or 9.1.

MC sometimes freezes after about 20 or 30 songs when Slide Show is engaged (in Full Screen mode). Is this an old bug in 9.0 or is my cpu too slow? I wasn't running any other apps. CPU usage would peak at about 40% when changing images then go back to about15%. This mainly seems to when SS is loading an image. It's not a big deal - just curious.

The first link that JimH provided earlier in this thread didn't work for me but the second one did.  I am using latest MC 10.0.84.

I have really been missing this plug-in. Sometimes the mismatched items found on the web are quite funny.

Note: Plug-in for MC10 still isn't on the web pages for plugins (at least I couldn't find it anywhere).

Thanks !
