Eliminating column 1 with number or...
« on: March 18, 2004, 04:32:29 pm »

When the number column comes it, I can only seem to get the music to play by sequenial numbers.  What I want to be able to do is click on a column, like artist or genre and play starting with the song I click on and continue on down.

If I right click on Media Library or any playlist/smartlist/view and select Play...it will always start with the first track and continue downward as shown in that particular view. You need to use left click (first track)>Shift-left click (last track) for a consecutive selection down the list OR left click (first track)>Ctrl-left click (additional tracks) for non-consecutive selections THEN right click>Play.

10-27

edit: Column 1 in certain views is the sequence number which you can't (and don't want) to eliminate. Did I interpret your post correctly?

After sorting by column right click on one of the tacks and select Update Order.

MC is designed in this way so you can reorder columns temporarily whilst preserving the original play order.
