People will need quite a lot more info to try and help.
Paste your system info from MC Help.
-> did it
Install the latest drivers for your soundcard
-> no new version
What sound card are you using?
-> sound card is turtle beach - santa cruz - latest drivers.
In fact I started having this problem only the lat couple of weeks.
Pin point when teh problem ocurrs (all the time, just on certain files, just on certain views just after a certain series of events etc. - experiment as much as you can).
-> I have uninstalled; run norton's windoctor to kill any left behind keys; installed the latest ver.
load MC, select some tracks, click play; stop;play -> no sound.
What settings do you have in Tools> Options> Playback.(mention them all including output mode and output settings)
-> wave out DSP set to 24 bit <-
