No upgrade button for 9.1 to 10 purchse
« on: April 05, 2004, 11:46:01 pm »

I just learned today that there was a version 10, so I downloaded the latest and tried the buy option.  It comes up with $24.88 purchase.  I read it is supposed to offer me an upgrade option for a lot less.  I tried installing version 9.1 again, it doesn't offer me the buy option (it's registered).

So, credit card back in wallet, what do I have to do to get the upgrade price?

I read that link before and after trying to upgrade.  It didn't say anything about the problem I'm having.  I've had Media Jukebox/Center since version 7 and have purchased every version.

This is what my key says (prior to the actual license):

JRiver, Inc. Media Jukebox 9
--begin-product-info--
Vendor:JRiver, Inc.
Product:Media Jukebox
Version:9
--end-product-info--

I installed version 10 over my version 9.1, don't know if that means anything.  I turned off my firewall and tried selecting the buy option also.

Yes, I downloaded and installed version 10 but you have to select the "buy" option from the help menu.  When I do that it does not offer an upgrade.  It only shows a $24.88 purchase option.

Hi Doug,
I just looked up your records.  You have an MC9 license, but it's possible you had one from an unusual situation (a few early purchasers of 9).  It's a long story.

I just had our system e-mail you a new install key.  Install 9.1, use the new key, and then try updating to 10.0 (latest build).

If that doesn't work, download the latest 9.1, and repeat the process.

Don't uninstall in between.

That fixed it.  When I tried to install the new 9.1 key to version 10 it said the key was not compatible and asked if I wanted to buy the upgrade.  It then took me to the purchase page and the upgrade price was there.  Everything worked perfectly.
