"Check For Upgrades" Functionality Question
« on: April 13, 2004, 05:46:11 pm »

Quick Question:

At what point does the Check For Upgrades allow you to update your version of 10 to the latest build. I using 10.0.111 and the Check For Upgrades is not finding 10.0.113.

Can someone please shine some light on this for me?

Thanks

These daily builds are just that:  daily builds.  They are "beta" builds, and JRiver doesn't "officially" release them, hence why the "Check for Updates" doesn't find them.

Eventually (perhaps, and especially considering the new "auto-update" feature), they will release "maintenence" releases, and those will be found by the "Check for Updates" function.

Microsoft, for instance, leaves their service packs in beta for months on end to make sure all the kinks are worked out (even though they rarely are :P).  So with this in mind, the changes you see in 10.0.113 probably won't be deemed "safe and sound" until version, oh, 10.0.150.  :P
