Can anyone tell me how long a 10.0 license lasts from the date of issuance?

If you'd take a look at one of the first threads (covering FAQs) you'll find a pointer to the licensing FAQ: http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/purchase.html
It has this answer and a lot more.

You are licensed forever. However, the installation key (that file that comes attached to the e-mail) is only valid for two weeks. After the two week period, you'll have to do a restore to get your license re-installed.
