I can't reproduce this. Does it work if you encode to a different format (ape or uncompressed wave)?
Are there unusual characters in the cd/artist/track names?
Is it just a particular track or CD causing the problem, or do you have the same problem on all wma lossless rips?

Can anyone else reproduce this problem?

Tried again using a normal mode rather than the secure mode (again WMA lossless selected), and again got the error   Tried to cancel the rip, system froze.  Once I recovered  I checked and no file had been saved in my output file, nor any where else on my machine  although a "secure Rip Report" info box had come up showing track 1 completed Ok - Quality 100%.

John, tried this using all the burn types:  the problem seems to be limited to the windows media...I get the same error when trying windows VBR, although the Secure rip report shows that the file has been completed, quality - 100%, file shows up in the library but only the first 15 seconds.   tried with various cd's, same results.
