Slur-less request
« on: May 27, 2004, 03:16:29 pm »

I downloaded the evaluation copy.

It expired.
I uninstalled it
I paid 24.95 for the real thing.
I am now getting a series of messages saying that my license file is out has expired date, even though I specified the file received as an email attachment moments before from JRiver.

I don't feel too bad though because even the software doesn't work at all, I have received a license file, a registration key, and registration code, unless those last two  are just two words for the same thing. So I feel that I am least getting a lot of things for my money.

The files only works for 14 days, I think, but you can get a new one, that can be used for another 14 days. Just check the FAQ.  You could also mess with you system date...

Also make sure that your system date is set correctly. If it's out of whack, you are likely to see errors such as yours.

People were willing to help him.... Gotta love people that blame others for there problems!!

bad company"
They cannot even get their Buy Button software correct. On their forum, one frustrated user wrote>"... System clcok says may 27 2004. Anyway, I'm cutting my losses here and moving on..." None of this Bill Gates like program acivation stuff for me .. especially when program can crash and stop working anytime.

I usually don't get involved with these things, Funny how he's the only one with these problems...

What's wrong with the system date reading May 27, 2004?  Isn't that the correct date?

 ?

Hi Crow,

Yes, it's correct. The next step is to make sure he has permission to write to the registry, but he left before we got there.

Closing this thread as well.
