Playback engine error?
« on: November 15, 2004, 04:30:00 pm »

I was running music jukebox 8 and recently switched to media center 10, all of my music played before but now I get this message

Playback engine: Failed to open the file. The file may be corruplt or missing.

What am I doing wrong, thanks.

Try a an uninstall then reinstall.

Also, try creating a new library and import into it to see if it could be a library problem.

Let us know what you find out.

Try reinstalling.

If that doesn't work, try uninstall, reboot, reinstall.

Make sure you have a recent version.  Please report the version you're using if you need help again.

Any third party plug-ins?

Do you have to have Windows Media Player 9 installed to run Media Center 10?
