« on: July 06, 2004, 12:32:40 pm »

I happened to install the plug in from MC 9 before i read that is not needed in MC 10. How do I uninstall the plugin now? every time i try to drop files to my Ipod i get an error that i'm using a MC 9 pluging, but it does not show up on the plug in manager?

Did you try reinstalling MC 10?

everytime i've re-installed MC 10, even when removing it in "remove programs" it seems to re-install as if it never left. i.e. files are all still in library, setins are saved, plug-ins still there.

Thanks

After the reinstall, are you able to access your iPod?

After re-installing MC10 it acts as though it never left ,like it retained all the settings from before, including the ipod plug-in. I can access my Ipod, read files from it, if i dump using itunes, but if i attemt to write to it i get the MC9 error message saying im using the wrong plug in, then the status bar just freezes.

Try going to your Media Center\Plugins directory and delete your hh_portable.dll file. Reinstall MC 10. It should put the new hh_portable.dll in the directory and then you will be all set, assuming that MC 10 is installed correctly.
