Problem importing files
« on: July 06, 2004, 04:07:55 pm »

Can anyone help me on this issue ? i'm trying to import some MP3...before i was able to import without any problems... now, when i try to import, it just stays at the Searching for files screen and doesn't find any files... even if there is plenty... my collection is over 12000 files... does MC have any problems with a large amount like this ? Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Also, what folder are the MP3's in?  MC excludes system folders.

However, you can use "Drives & Devices\My Computer" in the tree to find and import files.  To import, right-click and choose "Import Into Media Library."

I'M using  version 10.0.148

I,m using an AMD 700 MHZ system with 256 megs of ram

my MP3's are on a seperate drive which is M:\MP3
in that directory i have subdirectories with mp3's and some mp3's are in the root

Even if i right click and do import, it does not work and MC freezes... i need to kill the process to use it again

Right-click on the file in the list -- not in the tree.

If you can isolate a file that gives MC troubles, please email it to matt @ jriver.com

Also, maybe try a reinstall of the latest MC 10 from the top of this board.

Please send one of the files to matt @ jriver.com

Also, what happens if you view a folder in MC's My Computer tree?
