How to move MC11 DB to another drive?
« on: August 05, 2004, 02:59:45 am »

Currently I have the OS & all programs on the boot drive, and all of my music/movies on another drive.  I was hoping that the boot drive would go to sleep if the PC is just playing music for hours on end, but it doesn't because MC11's database is on there, and the DB gets updated every time I listen to a track.  As such, I now want to move the DB over to the drive that contains my music.

I found the "Library manager", but it's not clear ot me how I move the DB.  Is it just a matter of clicking the browse button and selecting a new directory?  Or do I have to clone it, then delete the old DB?

Try copying the data directory from your old location in program files/j. river/media center over to a new location on the new drive.  Then set up a new library with this location.  It should work.
