When Is a Double-Click Not a Double-Click?
« on: August 05, 2004, 04:34:00 pm »

Question:  When is a double-click not a double-click?

Answer:  When restoring MC from the systray.

I'd mentioned this before, but I figure it never hurts to keep reminding...  MC is currently the *only* app in my systray that uses a single-click to restore.  That's out of 18 apps - including, oddly enough - Media Server.  So when I double-click (as a result of muscle-memory and a feedle mind!), nothing seems to happen.  Of course, what's really happening is that MC restores and minimizes - but it happens so fast that I don't see anything.

Might JRiver reconsider this anomaly, or at the least make it an option to change.  It seems the Microsoft standard is that a single-click is the same as a right-click (i.e. a pop-up menu that gives me some options) and a double-click restores.

Thanks.

With MC 10 and MC 11, a fast double-click will do the same as a single-click on the tray icon.

I stand corrected...  I guess I've gotten lazy with my double-clicks.  Thanks very much!
