Ability to Rip 'n Go all tracks
« on: November 08, 2002, 08:50:35 am »

A few revs ago, MJ would rip a CD to all WAVs, then go through the WAVs and convert to the specified format, killing the WAVs as it went if so spec'd.
Current version goes one by one, first ripping the WAV out of the CD, then doing conversion. I realize this allows the program to use less temp. memory, but sometimes I want to take the CD out ahead of time. Is there a way to re-orient the program to do this?

thanks,

shoo ?

No. Workaround is just having MJ do the rip (on all tracks) to a uncompressed wav, then go back and convert them to the desired format. It will use a lot of disk space, though (but no more than ~700 MB max per CD).

I think they may reintroduce the "rip all tracks first" in v9.
