I had some short video files that I lost when I tried to import them to MC.  I got a pop-up notice saying that I needed a 'something or other' program or add-on to import and view these video files in MC, but the notice disappeard as fast as it popped up and I was unable to read it.   And the files were erased.  They're not in my computer anymore as far as I can see.

I recently upgraded to XP and evidently need some program I don't know about.

Does anyone know what program this pop-up might have mentioned and, most importantly, is there some way for me to retrieve those lost video files?
