Over the years I have used MJ/MC, one thing that has irked me is the download process of daily builds. Let me clarify that I realize I'm not obligated to download the daily builds, but I can't help it. I always want the latest bug fixes and features, but this leads me to my problem. As MC has grown, the file size of the installer has ballooned. This results in me (and the rest of the obsessed MC community) downloading 18mb(!) from your poor server nearly every day! This would seem to be a fairly large bandwidth issue for both the server and us clients, especially those without broadband.
Maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion, but it would seem that JRiver must use a lot of monthly bandwidth from the web host. I certainly use a lot of mine for getting my MC fix. What I'm trying to get at is that I think MC needs a "patching" feature, if at all possible. I could be way off here, but I'd imagine each daily build has only a few altered files from the last. Would a patching utility be feasible for only providing these new, altered files to all of us who already have the full MC installed? Maybe it's more work than it's worth, if even a possibility...but I think it would save us all some time in the long run.
