you know what i think:

- if its grey or silver i like it
- lie the vertical genre thing
- dont forget us 'sub genre field' users
- remember to take into account full screen togglers

- what goes on the right hand side?

Glad you guys like it so far.  

So here's a question though (one i probably shouldn't ask), what's the name of the tag you guys use for "sub-genre"?
I personally use 2...
1. "style" because of atagger
2. "sub-genres" for my own sub-genres...

Anyway, i just got an idea that might look real tight for the top navigation. I'm going to try it out right away.

i use "sub genre". i use the styles occassionally, but often dont agree with them so end up re classifying the track myself

Track Info:
I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the text in the right area. The problem i have is that due to the greyscale background, the text can be a bit hard to read... I've tried a few things but nothing quite satisfying yet.

Skin:
The skin is nicely coming along. I would say it's now 40% done.

Amazing work cascius as in all your other project. i LOVE the glow effect and buttons!!! will there be any chance in the future for a blue of any sort skin (opus or WMP color ) with the same buttons and glow effect? im affraid that grey is my least fav color

The blueish one is amazing   !!  thx alot cascius for listening  . as i said in the multi info track info you did a while ago i think these should be shipped with offical releases of MC! (no offense to the other skin makers that make the ones that come with MC).btw, is there any chance of completly getting rid of the gray (its still on in the menu and tack bar)? also what track info is shown in the screen shot, is it something you made? also looks awesome. so once again thx alot for the time you put in these things!

I'll be done with the skinning of the main window soon. Then I'll still have to do all the option windows etc... But I'll do a first release without them. By the way, I also agree with the choice of the blue one. Definitely my fav as well.

I shifted my focus to that one yesterday, and it's really coming along nicely, very nicely.

Alright, I just added a beta version of the track info. While it doesn't display any extra info such as the Lyrics, etc... It looks really cool already.

The track info is VERY nice...

The only thing I would add is having the track name in a different color (Black) and under the Album Name....

Can't wait to see the whole suite...

Funny you mentioned that. i did something similar already. The tracj name is now using an Orange to Dark vertical greyscale, similar to the one on the stars used for rating. I choose orange because it works nicely over blue.

cascius , its coming along great. one issue i found out is that the upper bar in the track info (the main, lyrics etc buttons) is always hidden by the MC seek bar in full screen (like it was in early versions of DJ_Hazelwood's and your multi info one untill you guys fixed it). that means i cant change the views at all  .

Try the new Skin with the Track Info, you won't regret it.

Zeltak:
I'm not sure what to do about the fullscreen issue. I personally change the display settings to either autoresize or always on. It works just fine this way in my opinion. I might make a 2nd version down the line with extra space at the top. But i will look into it once im done with the basic version.

Neville:
As of right now, I don't think I will spend the time to update the track info to match ThunderStorm as I never use that skin. Also, with this track info, creating a new template/color scheme is way more time consuming than with Multi Info due to all the layers superposing one another and also the WordArt Design and Animation. What I might do is a more generic one (colorwise) that will fit more skins. We'll see.

first of all thank you again for your great work, its really appriciated here. I wish i had more knowledge in programing/graphics so i could help out or even design some stuff myself (so i dont have to nag people with my requests   ...). As for the latest releases they are really great. In the track info on my computer i only get the album name and not song name or artist name, i dunno if that supposed to be that way in the beta (the screenshot shows the song name in orange) or thats a problem only i have. The skin is also terrific, though there is still to much grey in my opinion   .... anayway thaks alot agian

As far as the track info is concerned, what screen resolution are you at? I have to admit that I've set mine quite high (1600x1280)... So maybe it's just too big for your screen. Otherwise, it might be a problem to do with fonts or version of Internet Explorer.

Can you post/pm me your system info? That would help a lot. (in MC, HELP -> SYSTEM INFO)

As far as the color scheme is concerned, I'm still working on it, so there might be less grey in future versions.

A few things...

**With the track info, I also do not see the track name... Just the Album
**I am assuming the tabs do not work yet.
**If you highlite, click on a track the colors are hard to see.
**Library Browser, If you can can you change the back ground from Black to blue? The black doesn't fit with the rest of the colors.

Very nice work Cascius

I love it!

a couple of comments however;

1- I find it difficult to read selected files, need more contrast between selected-highlight color and text color

2- I also have difficulty reading bottom status bar text due to text color too close to faded background color (darker color)

3- If I click on 'Lyrics' or another tab on the Track Info, I get an IE window pops up with this message:  "javascript:void(0)"

Other than that it is lovely.

Not to push it too far, but any chance of other colors in the future? Or perhaps a mini?
