WMA to MP3 Conversion

I have a number of "unprotected" WMA files that I want to convert. In the "status" field i get "unsupported type" and a "faild to convert" when I try to convert the file.  What Gives? I thaught that the conversion would work with unprotected wma files.

It's a long story, but MJ won't convert them.  Media Center can.
